I'm talking about the first cell phone call. It happened in downtown Manhattan.

Marty Cooper, he worked for Motorola, and then he had a rival over at AT&T.

Now, the guy at AT&T said, Marty, you're just a dummy, okay? People are not going to want to walk around with a phone. Why would they want to do that? Okay. We have at AT&T and Bell Labs the car phone, okay? People are going to be in their cars and they're going to want to be on the phone. So Marty's like, all right, no, that's not going to happen. So he calls this big press conference in April 50 years ago. And he says, all right, I'm going to demonstrate the first phone call that happens on the street.
