John, we have good news here and this is looking like it was going to happen but it now has happened.

The software passes that engineers have have sent up to Voyager 1 on the outskirts of the solar system, just outside the

solar system, have worked.

And the spacecraft is once again again for the first time since November

sending back coherent data from the spacecraft. They haven't yet gotten any

science data yet because they're still sending they have more

patches to send up it takes almost a day for them dad for the message to reach

Voyager and then almost a day for the response to get back to us. It's so far out. Things are slow, but they now

have gotten coherent data from it and they expect it's going to resume science operations

shortly in the next few weeks. They have more passion to make sure that's possible, but that's what they expect.

This is mainly an engineering achievement.

They're not going to really get, they only have about that most two more years of life from both
