indicated columnist and policy editor at the Bulwark and I'm joined by

our regulars Bill Galston of the Brookings Institution in the Wall Street Journal and Damon Linker of the week.

The Bullworks very own Kathy Young is sitting in for Linda Chavez this week and our special guest is

noted election attorney Benjamin Ginsburg. He played a key role in the Florida

recount in 2000 and served in many Republican administrations or as

counsel to Republican campaigns including Mitt Romney's presidential

campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

And he is an expert on election law.

So thank you, one and all.

Our first topic because of our esteemed guest is the state of election law in America.

And I want to begin with you, Ben Ginsburg, you have written, first of all you're very keen to reform the Electoral

Count Act and we'll get to that. But first you've talked about some of the

state laws that have been enacted since 2020,

and you've called some of them pernicious.

So I was hoping that you could give us

a little bit of a tour Dorizan of these laws

and distinguish what you think is pernicious from what you think is

trivial or not worth getting upset about.
