Summary

This episode is jam packed with something for everyone including some stunning numbers about just how mad voters are polls open all over the country for mid terms.      In Georgia, early voting is smashing records even though Dems told us new voter laws are racist and restrict access to voting.  They lost an All Star Game over the law and it was clearly a lie.    A reporter at the White House asks the question of the week... and it is one of the most brilliantly worded questions I've ever heard.  You're going to love it.    My mentor, long time Fox 4 Sports Director Frank Boal joined me for a patron's podcast this week and it's really interesting.  I've pulled a clip for you on his thoughts about the Chiefs defense and the matchup with the 49ers.    A pair of NFL owners get into a profanity riddled shouting match at the owners meeting... and it's over Roger Goodell.  This is good stuff.  You know both owners.   And we preview a huge game in Ft. Worth Saturday night between Kansas State and TCU, the only remaining unbeatens in Big 12 conference play.  Also, commissioner Brett Yormark is talking big about the future of the conference at basketball media days in KC.

So we're going to jump right into it.

And as we're getting ready to start, we get the news that the Prime Minister of England has stepped down,

the United Kingdom, Liz Truss.

0:35.5

After just six weeks, she's conservative that

0:38.6

wanted lower taxes and a growing economy, and she faced, from day one, she faced all kinds

0:46.5

of headwinds and resentment from people in her own party. They've been after her for six weeks.

0:51.8

She is now the shortest tenured prime minister in the history of England.

0:55.4

I am not certain of all the inner workings and how it works.

0:58.8

She was selected in a parliamentary process, not a voter process.

1:03.6

So the conservatives had control of parliament and putting her in charge.

1:07.7

So my assumption is they'll put somebody else in charge.

1:10.2

I don't know how

1:10.8

it all works. But this kind of fits into what we're doing here in the United States and what's

1:16.4

happening with our elections just a couple of weeks away now, two and a half weeks away.

1:20.8

And where people on earth are right now, they are hurting economically. Inflation is global.

1:30.9

We're on the backside of a pandemic that has people angry and out for change to begin with. I think this is, there is a correlation between

1:39.1

this and our elections. Okay. I know she just took over, but it's pretty clear. The people in England

1:45.0

in the United Kingdom have said, we're mad as hell. We don't care. Six weeks, we're done with you.
