I'm Bruce Feldman, joined as always by my colleague from the athletic, Stuart Mandel.

We are taping Sunday morning after what was one of the best college football Saturdays.

I can remember, not just this year, but in a long, long time.

So many great games from top to bottom.

The headliner was what went on in Knoxville,

Stu, where Alabama, which had been on the ropes a couple times this year, and by opponents

we did not think could put them on the ropes. This time they went down in Knoxville by the,

by the, by the balls. Were you shocked? Were you surprised or were you just merely enthralled would be the right word

i mean i'm going to go old school here but that you know selective memory but that might be the

most exciting regular season game i've seen since Bush Push.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

I know there was the kick six in there and whatnot,

but in terms of start to finish and everything that went into it,

if Tennessee had beaten them, you know, 10 to 7,

it would still be just, you know, as cathartic when you've waited that long to beat your rival. But the fashion, the nature of the game, I mean, this was

an elite quarterback duel. And of course, we didn't even know Bryce Young if he was going to play,

for sure. Not only does he play, but I would venture to say,

I think that was his most impressive performance of his career so far.

And he just consistently wowed me in that game with his ability.

It was almost Mansell-esque, his ability to escape and extend plays.

And he lost.
