And it's a pretty cool story about your connection with Vietnam.

And you are Vietnamese full, 100% American Vietnamese.

Is that what you would say?

So talk a little bit about the Vietnamese culture here in the States first, and then we'll talk about why we saw each other in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese culture in the States, well, I grew up in SoCal, so there's a little Saigon that my family would all take me to every weekend.

And then, you know, we try to keep that alive as much as possible and my family always like ingrained that in me with the food and just made sure that I knew

where my family came from right right so what would you find in Little Saigon little

Saigon well the dresses they're called Owye so Venemese gowns. I remember my mama bought me

so many different colored ones, and they would have like embroidered flowers on them.

And then what about like the food? The food, yeah. Vinimese food, well, most people would know of

is the fah, which is the noodles. That's probably the most popular dish. But there's other things, too. I like pretty much everything. That's part of the Vietnamese menu. You grew up speaking Vietnamese as well? Yeah, yeah. So Vietnamese was my first language until I was five. Oh, wow. I didn't learn to speak English until I was five. Really? I was speaking Vietnamese in kindergarten and preschool to all the other kids.
