So I just had a friend over for breakfast and made eggs and bacon and coffee and chopped

up some peaches and it was awesome. I love mornings like that. I absolutely love getting to sit

across the table from another woman and hear her hopes and her dreams and everything that's

going on in her life. I love to hear what she cares about most and what her passions are

and where she feels like she's making forward progress and where she feels like she's getting stuck

because it makes me feel more normal. Where we can relate, right? Oh my gosh, though, we just had

such an awesome conversation and I really didn't want it to end but she also had to leave because

after three hours, people have life to do. That's a thing. But after we had that conversation,

it just got me thinking and I was like, you know, I'm just going to continue this conversation

into a podcast because we had started talking about what it looks like to pursue and use our gifts

and abilities and talents and dreams and passions and all the things while also, you know,

not feeling totally bogged down by this pressure to figure it all out and know the perfect

answer and somehow have the perfect plan. So long story short, as we were sitting there and

sipping coffee and talking, I realized how much, you know, even though we're in totally different

industries and spheres of influence and have very different dreams, you know, in directions,

the underlying feeling of how do I balance all this kind of thing started to come up. And so

I actually will probably make a variety of episodes on this topic because when you think of a

word like balance, that can mean a lot of different things. How do you balance your personal life

and your professional life? Finding the line in between, you know, valuing yourself enough but not
