Hey, hi, it's me, Shay.

I wanted to jump in real quick before the podcast gets started because I wanted to tell

you something.

This episode was actually the first episode of the series that we recorded.

That being the case, I knew going in, I was going to have a billion things running through

my head while we were doing it.

That's why I wanted to have Amanda and Juliet be the guests on it.

They've done so many podcasts together and they're both smart and funny and insightful,

so I figured if I got stuck on something or if I stumbled, I'd just lean on one of them

to save whatever segment it was that we ran.

And it mostly worked just not entirely.

There were still a couple of parts where I messed up.

And normally what we do in these situations is I just go back and re-record those parts.

But I didn't want to do that here though.

I wanted to keep the mess ups in because as I mentioned, it was the first episode.

And I guess I just like the ceremony of the process.

But so the way we're handling it is whenever I'm about to screw something up or after I've

screwed something up, I'm going to jump back in the pod like I'm doing right now.

You'll know what's happening because you're going to hear this music playing in the background.

You could think on a like foot notes for the episode.

When you hear that noise, it means we're breaking away from the conversation that I'm having
