and we're back with another emergency podcast

as the Minnesota Vikings have not only brought in Sam

Donald, a quarterback who has talked about a lot on this show. They not only are

reportedly according to Diana Racini about to sign Aaron Jones running back who you guys know from such games as always crushing the Minnesota Vikings with the Green Bay Packers

But this show will be dedicated to the Vikings signing a kicker.

No, I'm just kidding, but they did sign a kicker, a former XFL kicker, we're

not going to get too deep into that.

But let's begin with Sam Darnold.

This is something that we have talked about.

Over the last couple of weeks, I would say,

since Tom Pellicero of NFL network reported that it was a possibility

that the Vikings would look into Sam Darnold as an option if Kirk Cousins left and so it wasn't shocking to see this come to

fruition that the Vikings would bring in Donald he was the backup last year with

the San Francisco 49ers. We know that there is a connection

with Kevin O'Connell and Kyle Shanahan. They had joint practices two years ago

so I imagine that there was some discussion there and also Josh

Macown the Vikings quarterback coach would have a lot of familiarity and

a relationship with Sam Donald.

So I've seen conflicting things as far as reactions

to this signing on the old internet this morning.
