Years we have talked about what is going to happen at the

quarterback position. When is Kirk Cousins going to play somewhere else? When will the Vikings take another step toward trying to win a

Super Bowl rather than exist in the mediocre circle of hell that they have lived in for the last six years and that

answer is today March 11th somewhere around 1 30 central time,

the Minnesota Vikings no longer have Kirk Cousins as their quarterback

as cousins' agent announced a four-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

And now the doors are wide open for the future.

Drafting quarterbacks, looking elsewhere

for other veteran

quarterbacks to bring in, building around a

potential rookie quarterback contract.

The draft just got very, very interesting

for the Minnesota Vikings. for Kirk cousins this is the best

possible landing spot for him it was from the outset of this.

The Falcons have built their team over years

to be in a position where they could sign a win now

type of quarterback to a preposterous four-year contract for someone who's 36 and just coming off of an

Achilles injury, but that is a risk that they are in a position to take and that the Minnesota Vikings were never in a position to take

and had Kirk Cousins come back and if the Vikings had signed him to a four-year deal,

I see no path that they would have been able to win around Kirk
