R.N says you have to beat the Eagles.

0:08.4

They run the ball.

0:10.1

You know, as the way that this schedule is going to play out, there are going to be some teams

0:14.8

that really test the Vikings run defense.

0:18.3

And it's hard to get a beat on how good the run defense is going to be

0:23.8

when you're watching camp practices. Now, personally, I think that the running game looked

0:28.9

really good for the Vikings. So then you go, wait, did the run defense look bad? Then,

0:33.5

like, I guess so. I mean, I didn't think it looked terrible, but I thought that the

0:37.9

offensive line was pretty well locked in. And I thought Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones looked

1:13.5

especially Hargrave. And at times in Hargrave's career, he's been a really good run defender,

1:19.0

just more with San Francisco. He was a get in the backfield guy. And sometimes that's dictated

1:25.2

just by the role. And Redmond was a very good run defender last year.

1:30.4

I keep going back to last year's numbers may have been a little bit inflated.

1:35.8

Those guys were good, but they also may have been inflated by the score.

1:40.3

So if you let the Eagles get ahead, if you let the Chargers get ahead, that's where I think

1:45.9

it's concerning for this defense.

1:47.7

Because playing from ahead, the Vikings defense should be the nastiest in one of the nasties
