Or is he going to see less snaps yet be more effective?

I don't think he's actually going to see less snaps than last year. I think last

year was really about where he needed to be. It was two years ago where he was pushing 800

snaps and that was just, that was way too much. I think that the assignments might be a little bit

less because they're more of line up and go.

Last year was so much trickery.

And I had a really good discussion and I wrote about it last year with Harrison about his

PFF grade because I showed Harrison that he had the best PFF grade of the year after a certain game. And he said, funny, because it's not my

best PFF or it's not my best grade with the coaches. And I said, well, where's the difference then?

And he said, the difference is that with his role specifically, sometimes he is intentionally

jumping gaps. I think that's how he described it,

where he lines up in one place and he would jump to the next gap as soon as the snap was taken, which means you'll probably get pushed back a little bit by a guard.

But the reason is to bring the center with him and then open up space for the linebackers.

Now, that's complicated.

That's involving a lot of moving parts there,

right? Like, you got to get the center to come with you. You got to reach on the guard. You got to get

the linebacker to time it outright and get all that stuff. I think this year, they can line up and go

more than having to always trick everybody on offense. Now, they're going to trick,

but you don't have to always trick. And that could help Harrison Phillips, it just line up and go.

And what I think ends up happening is dictated by the personnel a little bit. Right now,

they're playing a ton of base because it's camp and you're playing a ton of base.
