It's Chris Taylor here with this week's sex chat quickie, and this week's tip is about

sex toys, specifically vibrators. I'm going to address two big questions. The first is why

you might even consider using a vibrator in the first place.

I mean, can a vibrator add anything to your sex life?

I'm going to suggest that it can do three things to enhance marital intimacy.

First, it can increase the chance of orgasm.

If you've struggled with orgasm, a vibrator can make an orgasm more likely to happen. And obviously,

this can help you enjoy sex more, as well as improve the overall quality of your sex life.

Second, a vibrator can provide stimulation that the human body cannot. Now, obviously, this might be a

concern at times. After all, God designed our bodies to work

wonderfully together. And he also designed our bodies to change over time. But that doesn't

mean sexual intimacy needs to stop. Our bodies change. People develop arthritis, carpal tunnel

syndrome, and medications and health conditions

can impact your sexual response and your stamina. So if your body is not doing what you'd like it

to do sexually or if your husband's isn't, a vibrator really can be a helpful marital aid.

The third thing that a vibrator can do is simply be fun. It's something that can add a little

spice every once in a while. And when you share something different with your husband,

that adds to the intimacy that you build over the lifetime of your marriage. All right,

the second big question is especially important. And that is whether it's even okay for a Christian couple to use a vibrator.

The Bible doesn't say anything about it one way or another, so we have to use our own discernment.
