It's been six weeks since the authorities in Venezuela declared Nicholas Maduro the winner of the presidential election

without releasing the detailed results. The opposition cried foul saying

the election was rigged and that their candidate Edmondo Gonzalez was the rightful winner.

He went into hiding after the election and prosecutors issued a warrant for his arrest.

Now he's been flown to Spain on board a Spanish military plane. Back in Venezuela the

attorney general Tarek William Saab confirmed Mr. Gonzalez's exit from the

country had been allowed after careful negotiations.
