Venezuela is still facing massive uncertainty. Days after leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured by U.S. forces in the capital, Caracas.

Yesterday, Maduro and his wife pleaded not guilty to drug and weapons charges in New York

in their first court appearance.

During it, Maduro declared, I am still president of my country.

Back in Venezuela, Maduro's ally, Delsey Rodriguez, was sworn in yesterday as acting president.

Although President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he is in charge, and has not ruled out

broader military intervention if the regime doesn't cooperate.

There's still a lot of questions about what that actually means.

But here's how White House Deputy Chief of Staff of Policy Stephen Miller explained it to CNN.

By definition, we are in charge because we have the United States military stationed outside

the country.

We set the terms and conditions.

For them to do commerce, they need our permission.

For them to be able to run an economy, they need our permission.

Concerns are growing that the Trump administration still wants Greenland. Denmark has sovereignty
