Venezuela uniformly recognized that the election of July 28th for the presidency was corrupted by the regime

and that the opposition won the election overwhelmingly,

67% to 30%. However, right now the opposition is either in hiding on the run or detained, led

by a man named Edmondo Gonzalez Uruhta, who is the winner according to uniform opinions of nations such as Argentina

in the United States and the OAS and the European powers.

However, I welcome Mary An Stasia O'Grady writing the America's

column, America's editor of the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal to bring us up to date

on how the regime is responding to its corruption of the election.

Right now there are more arrests said to be 2,000 or more.

The new arrests include an opposition leader and a key figure in the

opposition and a former governor named Williams Davila all detained because of their association with

Edmondo Gonzalez Uruzha, the winner.

The most striking aspect I read and your column is filled with new

information about Venezuela and the trouble the Venezuelan people are in with the dictator

Maduro is that the United States, while recognizing that the election was corrupted and that the opposition won an open contest, is hesitating because, according to the State Department

spokesperson waiting on our partners Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

Waiting for what Mary, good evening to you to well good evening John I think it's funny that

they choose as our partners Brazil Columbia and Mexico three countries in the

region that have alliances with Cuba and Venezuela.

Six other countries have actually recognized Gonzales-Rutia as the President-elect.
