So you recently went to Venezuela. Do you want to talk a little bit about that

particular meeting and then we'll just kind of jump into some of the the

politics that are going on in Venezuela in kind of a deeper history.

Great, yeah. So yeah, I was there last week, the 23rd to the 26th of January 2020,

for the World Conference Against Imperialism in Caracas, Venezuela.

The AIP was invited by the Venezuelan government to participate.

We were given one delegate and I was a person that was chosen to go.

And it was 1,000 delegates from Venezuela and 73 countries around the world in one space,

one small space talking about how to build a 21st century movement against specifically Yankee

imperialism.

Right and this is like a really important kind of series of encuentros or gatherings or meetings that Venezuela is holding and specifically the Pessouvee,

the United Socialist Party of Venezuela,

in response to these devastating sanctions that have been imposed by the United States and states such as Canada and some European countries.

But it's a really beautiful response in light of these, you know, these sanctions that prevent

Venezuelans from traveling that prevent the guests of the government from traveling to Venezuela.
