Summary
We are deep in the Food for Thought archives with this episode! A re-broadcast of an episode that aired in 2006 (!), it may be the first time I shared my motto: "Don't do nothing because you can't do everything. Do something! Anything!" AND it's when I used the "vegetarian" as an umbrella term, even though this podcast has always been "vegan." In it, I address such declarations as:
“If we didn’t kill and eat animals, the world would be overrun with them.”
“These incisors in my mouth prove that we were meant to eat animals.”
"Don't you care about insects killed in the growing and harvesting of plants."
ENJOY!

| 1:24.3 | As an animal activist and cooking instructor, I've pretty much heard every excuse in the |
| 1:29.8 | book for why people continue to eat animals. There seem to be as many excuses to eat meat |
| 1:35.9 | as there are land animals killed for such a purpose. And that's 10 billion. There are |
| 1:40.9 | 10 billion animals killed in the United States each year for human consumption, by the way. |
