This is Marianne Sullivan.

And joining us today is Farah Shamas, who will be telling us all about her family's

fabulous hotel and her personal efforts to make it as vegan friendly as possible.

You had me at fabulous hotel. I have to admit. Yeah, it's kind of a different interview.

First of all, I always think it's fun to interview people from different places. And yeah,

she's this like, I mean, I guess you could call her a grassroots activist in the sense that she's

not working with an organization or anything.

But she also is the managing director of this, like, resort hotel, which is quite fabulous, which doesn't feel that grassrootsy.

But yeah, I want to go.

Like, let's all go.

Let's all get together and plan a vacation and eat vegan food.

It's about how she's working within an

environment that was not vegan to increase vegan options. I mean, she hasn't turned the hotel

vegan. I don't want to like have people be disappointed, but I think what she's done is

amazing. You know, I have to say something funny. I'm going on vacation, speaking of vacations,

and I didn't tell you this yet, but I'm going on vacation. Speaking of vacations, and I didn't

tell you this yet, but I'm going on vacation in a little less than a month to Montreal, and I wanted

to go to Montreal Pride. And so a really long time ago, like a year ago, I booked a hotel right downtown,

right by Pride, like basically Party Central. So Pride in Montreal is in August? it's in august and so i've been really looking

forward to it and we had a lot of expenses recently which we'll get into in a second but as a result
