Welcome to Our Hen House. This is Jasmine Singer. This is Marianne Sullivan. And this week,

Marianne will be speaking with Gina Song Lopez, who will tell us about her research into a hugely

important topic for anyone interested in changing the world for animals,

the state of veganism and animal rights in East Asia,

particularly Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.

And sort of separately, if Gina and I got married,

our name could be song singer.

But I think I guess.

I don't know.

I am too, but, you know, details.

Anyhow.

So I'm excited about this interview.

It's always incredible for us to just sort of get our, put our finger on the pulse of something going on in the world of animal rights in a different location on the globe. I'm always inspired to say the very least.

Yeah, I'm never sure how these interviews plays.

It's something people are super interested in.

And we've been doing them for a long time,

trying to find people in other countries to talk about what's going on there.

It's just so important to remember because I've been doing some research of late

because I'm writing this article.

Everything has changed.

Everything's different that it used to be.

There are substantial animal rights movements and substantial vegan movements everywhere.
