Alexander, who hails originally from Jamaica, but is now located in the Bronx,

is one of the most thoughtful and innovative thinkers we've run across in a long time

about gender, race, food, nature, animals, and even more.

She has been central to a number of efforts in this space, including Black Veg Fest,

the North Bronx Collective, and her newest project, The Cypher.
