Fans of the incredible edible egg may be feeling a bit of sticker shock at the grocery store these days. In a rotten twist for those who love their

morning omelet, egg prices rose 60% over the past year. The highest increase in five decades, according

to CNN. And that's if you can find them at all. In some places, they're scarcer than

hen's teeth. The reasons for the egg stream price hikes and shortages range from high feed

costs and supply chain shortages to a deadly avian flu that decimated poultry flugs. Some companies

have found opportunity in the shortage, namely those who make

plant-based egg products. Eat Just, the parent company of Just Egg, a vegan liquid egg substitute
