Good morning everybody.

The few who are here physically present,

so there's only four of us here today,

and the much larger number who are virtually present,

I hope everybody is keeping well by the grace of the Lord

in these difficult circumstances.

Today we are going to continue the discussion that we started last Sunday.

One of the greatest of the post-Shankara Adwaita masters, Madhusudan Saraswati, who lived about 500 years ago.

He wrote a number of remarkable texts.

He is most well known for his magnum opus, the Adwaita Siddhi, which is a dialectical work.

But he is also very well known for this work, this magnificent commentary on the

Bhagavad Gita, the good heart the deepika, the lamp of profound illumination, or the

lamp illuminating the profound or secret meaning.

Very comprehensive commentary, noted for its wonderful synthesis of devotion with gana, love with knowledge.

This commentary has a wonderful introduction, 46 verses composed by Madhusudhara Saswati, which gives us an outline of spiritual life according to Vedanta.
