| 0:52.5 | So this is a PDE5 inhibitor that is used for erectile dysfunction primarily. |

| 1:09.6 | So with the process of male sexual stimulation, nitric oxide plays an important role. |
| 1:20.4 | And this nitric oxide release activates guanolite cyclase to increase cyclic gmp. |
| 1:29.4 | So cyclic gmp is an important mediator in helping to create the male erection. |
| 1:37.6 | So what Vardinifil does is preserves cyclic gmp by inhibiting phosphodiasterase 5. |
| 1:49.7 | Okay, so this is basically an enzyme that breaks down cyclic gmp. |
| 1:54.1 | So by blocking PDE5, we're increasing the amount of cyclic gmp, which helps with erection and things |
| 2:04.1 | of that nature. So that's how the drug primarily works and helps with erectile dysfunction. |
