How can someone simply vanish into thin air?

On October 3rd, 1955, a woman was born who would do just that,

in a case that, though there are strong suspicions, remains unsolved. So if you like your

coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder.

On August 11, 1992, Pamela June Ray, born October 3rd, 1955, and her two children left

their home in Atlanta, Georgia to begin their trip to Panama City Beach in Florida for a

vacation.

Her husband, Michael, had to work and was unable to join them, so the 36-year-old mother

packed up the kids and left on her own with plans on getting to the area in the early

morning hours.

Unfortunately, when they arrived at around 4.30 a.m., they found that there were no vacancies in any of the open

motel rooms. After driving around for a bit and searching for that vacancy light, Pamela eventually

parked in front of the Will Heights Motel, where several witnesses saw her sitting in her car

at around 5 a.m. She was then seen by a police officer on patrol at 525 a.m.

Standing just outside her vehicle talking to a man. And after he started walking to the nearby

parking lot, Pamela locked her doors and began following him, leaving behind her sleeping children
