Oh boy this is a very fun very Jewish episode as our guest is Abiza,

Trainwreck, San

at Live Star, Vanessa Bayer.

And what we talk about is a little bit different.

So instead of talking about one specific joke or sketch or bit,

we talk about the sum total of creating the one, the only, the one and

only, Jacob the Barmitso boy, arguably Vanessa's best known S&L character, which

she did on the show ten times. We talk about our upbringing, the Bar mitz was she went to as a kid, and her history and comedy. In total, the interview

paints a fascinating portrait all that went into that gentle little angel. So let's start with Jacob's first appearance on weekend

update from December 2012 when he of course told the story of Hanukkah.

Tonight marks the last night of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah. Here to explain the story of Hanukkah is my

podiatrist son and recent bar mitzvah boy, Jacob. Yes, my dad said to apply this twice a day and you got to start wearing flip-flops in the

gym showers.

Okay, okay, thank you, Jacob.

Now I understand that you were here tonight to teach us the story of Hanukkah.

That's right.

When I first started studying the story of Hanukkah, I was worried it was going to be boring.

But as I learned more about the powerful tale of the Maccabees, I realize that it's actually pretty neat.
