Vice President J.D. Vance has slammed European allies, accusing leaders of cracking down on free

speech. What I worry about is the threat from within. The retreat of Europe from some of its

most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.

If you're running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you.

In a speech at the Munich Security Conference, he compared European leaders to Cold War tyrants

and said they, quote, threatened and bullied social media companies

to censor so-called misinformation. Vance alleged that governments were shutting down

unorthodox viewpoints and risking democracy. If American to democracy can survive 10 years

of Greta Thunberg's scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk.

Vance is in Germany as there are big questions swirling about a future peace deal to end the war in Ukraine,

and uncertainty about what the U.S. will be contributing to European security going forward.

After a tense week, Israel has named the three hostages expected to be released tomorrow.

They are an American Israeli, a Russian Israeli and an Argentine Israeli.

And shortly after their freed, Hamas says Israel is set to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. This will be the sixth exchange

under the ceasefire agreement. It comes after Hamas accused Israel of violating the terms of the

deal earlier this week. The militant group said Israel stopped Palestinians from returning home
