Summary

Vic and Max are back from their 2.5 week sprinter van trip, and this recap is about way more than campgrounds and road snacks. Victoria shares what the trip taught her about letting go of control, trusting detours, and creating space to actually hear her inner voice again. She opens up about the journaling prompt that led to a major breakthrough, why the unplanned parts of the trip ended up being the most magical, and how the whole experience felt like the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. Plus, Vic and Max reflect on getting older, navigating life transitions, and why this trip gave them both a deeper sense of clarity about what they want next. Tune in for a thoughtful, funny, and unexpectedly emotional road trip recap!

Why do I want to be perfect? There's nothing in my life that is perfect.

Every week, I'll bring you honest, unfiltered,

that you're talking about. I actually felt insecure. Oh my God, I'm not going to cry. Let me just

I just said no pressure, but our future kids will listen to this when they hear about our iconic road trip. It's been a few weeks since the trip. Let's just check in. I definitely miss it. I will be like, I wish I was in the van. What about you? I don't miss it, but not in a negative way. And I feel like you've had this like little back and forth a couple times. It was great. Two and a half weeks is a long time. It was awesome. I'm so glad we did it. I got everything I wanted to out of the trip. But no, I don't necessarily miss having to sleep at an angle and hunched over cooking and having to empty the toilet container and all that. But no, it was, with that being said, it was a great trip.

I know, and driving me everywhere. We did have kind of different experiences. Like, you're taking you away?

1:33.2

Oh, we have to tell them that story. I'm going to make a note of that. We're going to tell you guys

1:36.7

that story about Death Valley, kind of the lack of our experience in Death Valley to be more accurate

later in the episode. It was so classic. We'll get there. But you did a lot of cooking. I did a lot of cooking too. And you did the driving and you had to sleep at an angle and you had to empty R.P. Because I just didn't want to do that. You took a lot for the team. And so I had more of a passenger princess experience. That being said, for any of the campers out there, we were very much glamping. It was a sweet setup. For sure. We were not having to pitch a tent every single night and, you know, doing our business in the woods kind of thing. And we had a stove. Like, you know, we were. To go there, we never, we never, number two in the van. We never number twoed in the van. We only peed. I'm still a little uncertain. Vic might have, you know, done it a couple times. Who knows? Who knows? We did have an issue early on in the trip of Vic not knowing how to properly flush the toilet. And it was literally three feet away from our bed where it was like you had to fill the pot with water and then dispose

2:36.1

of it. That took us about 48 hours to figure it out. No, we were wrong about that. Basically,

2:40.4

imagine you're peeing, but the thing where the water flushes down has a cap on it. It's like

2:45.9

an airplane. When you press the thing, it drops into like a bucket, but it's not going anywhere.

2:50.3

And I didn't realize that we had a flush thing.

2:52.5

So, like, yes, my pee was sitting on the top of the thing for a little bit. It was just pee. And I'm very hydrated, so it's clear. And I never shit in the van. I swear to God. We'll see. We'll see. I mean, who knows? He is just saying that because you guys are listening.
