So there we go. Liverpool get the victory at their Hill Dickinson Stadium. Yes, the very first Merseyside Derby at their new home and Liverpool own the bragging rights. The game was rubbish. The performance not great, but a hundredth minute winner by the Captain Virgil Van Dyai puts the red half of Merseyside in a great mood.

There will be time to talk about the performance and the team and everything else this season.

Right now it's about wallowing in the joy of beating Everton Football Club once again

in a manner in which we'll hurt them.

That's what it's about, isn't it?

You know, when you get one over your Derby rivals,

there's nothing better.

When you get a hundredth minute winner over your Derby rivals,

even better.

Yes, we're jammy as anything.

But who cares this afternoon and tonight we can sit back because

we are three points away from ashton villa and manchester united and most importantly for me at least

seven points away from chelsea and the chasing pack in the hunt for champions league football

the manager went with curt with Curtis Jones at right back

and Alexander Isak running the line up front

and Isak didn't really do too much in this game.

A severe lack of touches and quality by him.

But Curtis Jones, the other big talking point heading into this game for me was the man in the match.

I thought he did exceedingly well in all areas, whether that be on the ball when under pressure,

whether that be on the ball when not under pressure, you know, in dealing with in the I at times.

I thought he was really good and just an excellent performance all around from Curtis Jones.

You know, that first goal. But what a beautiful ball. I haven't spoken about the first goal until now.
