Outside of the big starry mainstream vampires of the 90s, Indy and Arthouse directors

were continuing to make weirder, grittier films in the vein of 70s gems like Martin,

Organger and Hess. In 1995, two cult filmmakers each made their own fascinating and unique

vampire films. Both set in New York and both dealing with themes of addiction, sexuality

and loneliness, they've since come to be regarded as two of the smartest and most innovative,

underrated vampire films in the sub genre. Join me as we continue exploring the evolution
