In publishing news, well, the biggest news this week has been Jeff Bezos stepping down a CEO of Amazon in Q3, 2021, to be replaced by Andy Jassy, who has headed up AWS since 2003.

And AWS Amazon Web Services is way more than web services these days.

And very interesting that he is going to be running the company.

Now, I've seen some authors in various Facebook groups saying, oh, it won't make any difference.

But I actually think it is a sign of things to come. And it's not a surprise because everything changes. And in Wired,

Stephen Levy reports a conversation he had with Jeff Bezos in 2018. He says, Jeff said,

I won't be, I won't spend any time in my life working on anything I don't think is important.

I'm just not going to. I don't

need to. And the fact is the antitrust hearings are going to continue this year or next. And basically,

I think Jeff would rather be working on Blue Origin and going to space. As if you know anything

about Jeff Bezos, Star Trek is not fiction. It's the future.

So, yes, humanity going to space, I think, will keep him occupied.
