I'm a little stiff and sore this morning.

I have to tell you what happened yesterday.

So my husband's out of town.

It's just me and the critters.

And yesterday afternoon, about 5 o'clock or so, I took Sam outside my dog and he was having a little

driveway sunshine time. He was just lying there in the driveway with his head on his paws

enjoying the sun. And I thought, I'm going to take the trash and recycling down to the curb and I'll

just leave him out here to enjoy the sun. And so I took the trash can down and he was still there when I got

back, took the recycling down. And I live, I have a pretty steep driveway. So it's a real, it's Mr.

Toad's wild ride getting that stuff down there. And, um, and then it's a hike back up. And we're

surrounded by woods. I come back up and Sam's gone. And I'm like, so I look in all the

usual places where the dog might be. There's no Sam. Now I am hiking through the woods and I'm like,

oh my God, snakes, quick sand. There's nothing worse when an animal is lost.

I'm calling him, but Sam is deaf.

And you know what doesn't work when the dog is deaf?

Calling his name.

Yeah.

And so I decide, okay, I'm going to grid search this.

He can't get far.
