return to normal in the spring or will normal mean something new? Joining me and Anushka Astana

to discuss all this, the former health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, the first minister of Scotland,

Nicholas Sturgeon, one of my footballing heroes Gary Neville and Labour's Wes Streeting.

Anushka started by talking to Jeremy Hunt and Wes Streeting about today's huge announcement

that the UK has approved the use of the Pfizer-Beyon-Tech COVID vaccine.

Clearly, it is lovely news. I allowed myself a little dance around the kitchen this morning.

But as we've just been hearing from Paul, there are huge logistical issues.

And Jeremy, I want to start with you on this because your committee has thought about this.

And care homes clearly a huge challenge. How worried are you about this?

Well, it's going to be a challenge, but I think today is a day of good news, and it's good

news particularly for people who work in care homes, who have been some of the most exposed

to the virus, and for people in care homes.

I'm sure we'll sort out that issue.

My understanding is that the virus can be taken out of its case for a maximum of five days.

And so I think it'll just be a question of working out how many care homes you need to get

round to use up a whole case and making sure we do it quickly. We've had much bigger problems than

this to solve during the course of this pandemic. But I think Matt Hancock, who in fairness

has had a lot of

stick at various moments, actually deserves a lot of credit because this was the first

vaccine that proved effective. He backed it, booked doses for the UK, and we are the first

country in the world to approve it for general use. And that is a huge step forward.
