A Utah nurse was arrested and accused of aggravated murder after she allegedly convinced her patient that she had terminal cancer and injected her with a fatal dose of insulin in an attempt to collect a $1.5 million life insurance policy.

47-year-old Megan Randall was arrested last week in the death of 38-year-old Casey Lynn Terry.

Back in August,

police officers found Terry

unresponsive in her home.

Sunwall told officers

Terry had a do-not-resuscitate order,

didn't want to go to the hospital,

and had been battling terminal cancer for years.

Paramedics allegedly found a diabetic needle

despite Casey not being diabetic

and her blood sugar was at life-threatening levels.

Casey died three days later. An autopsy showed she never had cancer or major health problems.

Detectives found thousands of texts between the two women with Sunwall offering to help her die.

Turns out Sunwall was never Terry's life insurance beneficiary either. She's now being held without bail.
