But if you would open your Bibles to 1 Peter chapter 4 and we'll be starting in verse 10

And we're going to be talking about a few different things today. We're going to talk about gifts or

stewardships, reasons for suffering, like actually go through a list of reasons according to the

scripture why people suffer.

Okay, so 1 Peter Chapter 4,

1st, Peter, Chapter 4, 10, starting in verse 10.

We're receiving a list of ways to apply the love of Christ into our lives, to live it out,

and it's very much focused on application at this moment.

In 1st Peter we've gone through theology, application of it,

you know, just these various different things.

So here we go.

Verse 10 says, as each one has received a gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the

manifold grace of God. Now it starts off by saying as each one has received a gift and I remember being

younger in my walk and the discussion being what gift do you have and then you

would look at a list of gifts you find in the scripture like word of wisdom,

word of knowledge, this, this, this, and you're going, which one of those is for me?

And I've since sort of changed my perspective on this. it seems to me that those gifts sometimes come in for a moment and are gone.
