Sometimes it can feel like we're spinning a bunch of metaphoric plates.

Sometimes it can feel like we are a part of target practice and we are itself the target.

And as of now, as of this recording, we have so much data on the impact of unmanaged stress and how it can accumulate in our tissues,

And a fascinating report that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association

found that today upwards of 80% of all physician visits are for stress-related illnesses.

Stress being a major component of the reasons that are taking us in to seek professional

diseases that are rampant today. So many of these conditions are growing precipitously,

and we negate the fact that stress can be a key ingredient in the manifestation of heart disease,

in the manifestation of insulin resistance, in the manifestation of Alzheimer's, in the manifestation

of depression, the list goes on and on and on.

Now, we might get the depression piece a little bit easier because it's related to the

psychology of stress.

But our minds and our bodies are not two separate entities that are operating despite one

another or without one another. It's one. It's all integrated together in that amazing person that you are. And unfortunately,

we are not given the instruction manual on how to handle all of this stuff because truly

so much of what we're exposed to and what we're dealing with is new. We've never been under these kinds of stressors before.
