President Donald Trump's trade war with Canada and Mexico rumbles on, despite a temporary

pause on tariffs until April 2nd.

Earlier today, Trump threatened adding new tariffs on Canadian lumber and dairy products,

which Canada's trade minister called, quote, completely unjustified.

Meanwhile, Mexican officials will meet with their US counterparts next week to discuss tariffs on aluminum and steel imports.

That's according to Mexican economy minister, Marcello Ebrard.

Today, the Director General of the World Trade Organization,

Ngozi Oconjo Iweila, called for unity in the Tariff War.

I think we need to listen to the United States

and listen to what their concerns are

and say, how can we also help them deal with their concerns?

And when we model a cooperative approach, it gives better results for the U.S. and for the world

than an approach that is tit for tat.

Today, the most intensive work ever has been going on all day with President Trump's team

at various levels, many calls.
