Summary
On the first day of quarter-final matches at the US Open, we discuss Jennifer Brady's dominance so far this tournament, her transformation as a tennis player, how she might match up against Naomi Osaka in the semi-finals, and the way in which Osaka's development as a person is helping her tennis. On the men's side, we reflect on the ordeal that was Zverev vs. Coric, debate whether or not it was compelling, and try to figure out the reasons for his erratic serving.

| 0:00.0 | Hi, this is Mary and Bartoli. I'm Matt's Belander. This is Mary Carillo. I'm Stan Ravinka. I'm like Newt. I'm Andy Murray |
| 0:06.7 | This is Yannick Noah and you're listening to the tennis podcast |
| 0:20.6 | Big day today folks. Do you know why? |
| 0:24.6 | Do you mean for Jennifer Brady? |
| 0:27.6 | Yeah, that's big as well, but the main reason is because I got a prediction right for the first |
| 0:31.9 | time about six days and given the blow, Kloss the first set six won in 24 minutes. I wasn't feeling |
| 0:40.4 | too good about it, but Alexander's variable is indeed into the semi-finals as I said he would be. |
| 0:48.4 | And I don't feel like particularly inclined to gloat about that, to be honest, |
| 0:53.1 | because he was the overwhelming favourite for a start. How many points did David |
| 0:58.4 | win, Matt? For that? I think he won 14 points. That's on the low end. |
| 1:08.2 | Please with that. Is that enough to overturn any of his deficit? |
| 1:12.6 | It's enough to close the gap. So long as his bar on the graph is still dangling downwards. |
| 1:20.4 | Yeah, this gets me. Catherine's brother has done a graphic representation of |
| 1:26.7 | our scores. I love the graph so much. Yeah, and I'm in negative figures on the graph. I'm like |
| 1:33.4 | below the line. It's horrible. Anyway, so it isn't over yet. The still, what, five days to go. |
| 1:40.5 | I think I can overturn it all. I believe that graph is for the whole year. |
| 1:45.1 | Is it? Oh, no. I know it's been a curtailed year, but I believe that stretch is back to |
| 1:51.6 | the Australian open and the few predictions we did after the Australian open. |
| 1:57.0 | Can we start this podcast again? Because I'm also in the negative on that graph, and |
| 2:02.5 | I'm not having such a bad US open. I didn't think. Right. It's not a graph that on AgroGert |
| 2:09.3 | reflects particularly well on the tennis podcast, I would say. |
| 2:13.6 | You're doing well. Perfectly. Only relatively to you too. It's still not, you know, a big, |
