Basically, we're trying to ensure that the longer Radio 4 edition doesn't overlap with material from the shorter World Service Edition. So if all goes well you should

You may have noticed that there was an election this week and the result was a little bit of a surprise to quite a lot of people.

Now many claims have already been made about why Hillary Clinton lost and Donald Trump won.

Wesley Stevenson has been putting a slide rule over some of the numbers.

What have you discovered? Well guess what Tim? Hillary didn't lose.

Well that's news. You think we should tell somebody?

Well, well it's not quite true. Hillary did get more votes than Donald Trump though,

but this is actually different to winning the election.

She polled around half a million more votes than Donald Trump,

but the votes are still being counted and this gap is expected

to be probably over a million by the time it's finished. But she lost because of the way that the

votes are divided up. They use the electoral college system in the United States

whereby votes are counted on a state by state basis and each state has a certain
