We're less than two weeks from the NFL draft from the start of night one, Thursday, April 23rd, which means we're going to do a little first round mock draft. This is what we think is going to happen. We're going to go back and forth. I got odds. JPS Evans. I said I hate odds in every mock draft because pick number three, I still don't know what to do with the Arizona Cardinals pick, but we'll see what happens when we get there.

Number one, we don't have to spend too much time on, though. It is the Las Vegas Raiders, and it's going to be Fernando Mendoza, the Indiana quarterback. If you're doing a mock that has anyone else at one at this point in time, I'd like to know your sources. You know, I'd like to know, I'd like to know some rationale here because this guy's going number one overall.

Rightly so, to me, he's a high floor quarterback. We can debate a ceiling all we want. But this guy, you've seen him do it under pressure. You've seen him do it in clutch situations. You've seen him be a leader. Basically, all the things you worry about a guy translating, you don't really have to worry with Fernando Mendoza. So is he going to be a leader, basically all the things you worry about a guy translating, you don't

really have to worry with Fernando Mendoza. So is he going to be Patrick Mahomes? Is he going to be Justin Herbert? Is he going to be Dak Prescott? I don't know where he ends up, but I know that he's going to end up a franchise quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. So very happy for them. But the draft starts at two because number two still seems like it's up in the air here, JP.

So I'm curious where you're going for the New York Jets. So at number two for the Jets, I think it's between Arvell Reese and David Bailey at this point. And I still think it's going to be Rvel Reese. Given what the Jets have invested in a free agency with all their investments with Kingsley and

Mbari, Joseph Osai at the edge, you already have Will McDonald on the team. And because they're

going to more of a three, four base, it still feels like this team needs another piece of

electricity to put at linebacker or edge. And I think the signing of DeMario Davis is going

to really help Arvel Reese in his

transition to linebacker, sort of an edge hybrid. He was speaking with one of our friends

been sold like at ESPN about how when he was rushing a passer at Ohio State, he didn't really

like learn pass rush moves or do working his hands. He just did what came naturally and he

ended up getting six and a half sacks just off of doing what he does naturally. So I think a guy with that high of an athletic ceiling and someone who can be a matchup versatile piece that can unlock your defense, I think that matters so much more in the modern NFL. So I think Arvel Reese is going to go second overall. Yeah, I mean, most offball linebackers,

they don't cross-train pass rushers, right? So it looked like that, but like you said, the fact

that he's kind of just freestyling and freestyling was him still dominating offensive linemen

is it's a good sign for what it's like when he's three years into his NFL career and three

years into technical development, what it's going to look like for him.
