Today we are talking about an internal email

to the Tesla staff from Elon Musk.

Tesla stock on the day finishing up 2.73%

to $350.48 cents, as compared to the NASDAQ up 0.79%.

Okay, so some pretty significant news coming today from a leaked internal email from

Elon Musk regarding model three production.

We already knew from previous emails that this week Tesla was targeting for each subset of

model three production, a production rate of 50 units per hour, which works out to a daily production rate of 1,200 units,

but that is the production rate that Elon said that it would take for sustained 1,000

units per day production.

That of course would then equal 7,000 model 3s per week. So from

Elon's email today we have an update on Tesla's progress towards that milestone.

I'll read the email in full here. says quote congratulations to the teams who achieved the 1,000 model 3 per day target I know it wasn't easy

especially excellent work by paint at 1302 including SNX, in a single day.

If you're able to help in any way with getting Model 3 production to a steady 1,000 per day at excellent quality,

everyone at the company should please consider this their top priority.

Body production currently appears to be our limiting factor, so it needs the most support right now.

Please focus on simplification and reducing cycle time first
