Today we were talking about a couple of tweets from Elon

and some news from other automakers as well.

Tesla stock on the day with pretty low volume finished down 1.93% to $341.17 this compared to the NASDAQ

down 0.25%. All right so the first piece of news that we have today is related to Tesla's auto wiper system.

You may be aware that in autopilot two vehicles, Tesla uses the cameras to determine if it's raining or not,

how hard it's raining, and then automatically adjust the wipers based on that input.

Like autopilot, the auto-wiper feature is using the cameras, as well as a neural network to provide that functionality.

When hardware two vehicles first came out, it took 10 network to provide that functionality.

When Hardware 2 vehicles first came out, it took Tesla quite a long time to get that up and

running.

I still remember a lot of people complaining at the time that Tesla didn't just use a dedicated rain sensor and a lot of people

that were skeptical of Tesla ever being able to figure out how to get the

auto-wiper functionality working with a vision-based system. However, now they have done that, but they do still have room for improvement.

Somebody tweeted at Elon today saying, quote, any chance you can explain how the

auto-wiper mode works, where is the sensor?

I find it very poor and heavy rain and have to constantly switch to manual mode, which

isn't convenient."

Elon replied with, quote, software upgrade to rain sensing neural Neural Net coming next month and quote

even though that may not be the most thrilling news that we've ever had coming out of
