All right, so Cass, I want you to reset for everybody.

You brought something to the Bert Show that we've been using here in studio and on air.

I mean, laughably, we do it comically for comedic effect, but it all has to do with how to

have better arguments with your spouse or significant other and it has everything to

do with tone.

Yeah, so basically when you fight 55% of what you communicate through body language and

38% is through your tone of voice.

And there was a study that showed the tone of voice as a better predictor of whether

or not your marriage is going to succeed or fail, then professionally, then professionally

trained couples therapists.

So 74% of the time the tone can indicate.

So when you're arguing, you want to watch your tone or when you're even having a conversation.

So what you can do is if you're saying something to your partner and they're taking a fence

at it because you sound condescending or you're mad because it's a fight.

They can say tone and immediately it checks you and you have to stop.

Like calm yourself down and reset what you said in a non condescending, non angry way.

So then you can continue the conversation like adults.

So it's either really going to work for your relationship where you're fighting.

You can say tone and you'll respect that or it's really not going to work and you'd be

like, I don't care about tone.

I'm pissed.
