Today we will be discussing a vigil for Tika Lewis, a supposed trial start for Cameron Hooker, a request for

information about Lenoria Jones, a plea in the case of Jala and Rachel Blackshear, and of course,

share our hot streamers. So let's get to it. In our former co-hosts, Emily's episode, 2640 Days, she shared the story of Colleen Stan,

a woman who was kidnapped, held captive in a box, and tortured for seven years.

The monster that did not kill her, but in a different way took her life, was Cameron Hooker.

There are so many details in this case, and Emily gave several updates, so if you don't

already know the story, go give that episode a listen and come back for the update. Okay, welcome

back. Eventually, Cameron Hooker was arrested, charged, and found guilty of kidnapping,

raping, and torturing Colleen. In 1985, he was sentenced to 74 years. Now, supposedly, on Monday,

February 2nd, Cameron was to start a new trial, the purpose being to determine if he should be

classified as a sexually violent predator. You know, in case kidnapping and keeping a woman as a sexual

slave in a box wasn't clear enough.

It appears that distinction would keep him in prison for the remaining years he owes.

I'm not sure whether this would change his sentence to life or just ensure that he isn't eligible for release until he serves his full sentence, which would go through the year 2059.

This trial has been moved around

for actual years. I think Emily started talking about it three or four years ago. Even now,

the articles that I found say that the trial was starting on February 2nd. However, I can't

find a single thing about it actually starting or how long it

was expected to go for or if there has been any kind of outcome from it. Nothing. So I guess as it's
