Summary

We have huge news in the Akia Eggleston case. Akia was a 22-year-old pregnant woman who went missing from Baltimore, Maryland on May 3, 2017. While there was a clear suspect, no arrests were made, and her case went cold. Akia's story started gaining more notoriety toward the end of 2021, and on February 3, 2022, Michael Robertson was arrested for the murders of Akia and her unborn child.

0:39.8	September of Akea Egleston. She was the young pregnant woman in Baltimore who was reported
0:46.2	missing in 2017 when she didn't show up for her own baby shower. The investigation into her
0:52.4	disappearance left a little bit to be desired. But almost five
0:58.1	years later, we have an arrest. I'm very curious to get into this. I didn't get a chance to
1:04.2	actually read the affidavit. I read a little bit of it before I had to leave work. So I really want to delve into it because the
1:12.6	first couple of pages that I read like was stuff that we already knew. Yeah. And the probable cause
1:18.5	affidavit that he's talking about was released today by the Maryland State's Attorney's Office.
1:22.7	Marilyn Mosby from Baltimore was the one who gave the press conference today and talked about this.
1:29.4	And it does. It's a seven-page document and it does go through the timeline of events leading
1:36.7	up to and after Akea's disappearance. Now, a lot of this, like you said, is stuff that we
1:42.1	covered in our episode. So this is what we're going
1:44.9	to do today. What we're going to do right now is talk a little bit about the arrest that was
1:50.9	made and some of the new information that just came out today as a result of this. And then I'm
