Thanks for listening to Last Seen Alive. I'm your host, Leah, crime analyst by day, and true crime storyteller by night.

0:50.6

And as always, I'm your co-s, Scott. This is an extra mini episode that we're airing on the anniversary of this case.

0:54.7

It'll be shorter than our typical episodes, but we wanted to cover this story because it seems highly solvable. With the right tip, investigators could potentially finally close

1:00.5

this case. Not only that, but recently, an enormous reward, $100,000, has been offered for

1:07.3

information that leads to resolution in this case. So please, if you know anything,

1:12.2

let investigators know. We'll provide tip reporting information at the conclusion of this episode,

years-long friendship. Listeners of a certain age, of the millennial generation, like us, Scott, or

1:55.8

older, may recall that Littleton, Colorado had been in the national spotlight just the year before in 1999.

2:03.4

That's because Littleton is where Columbine High School is located and the now infamous Columbine

2:08.9

High School massacre had occurred in April of 1999, so just 10 months prior to the case we're

2:14.8

discussing today. Stephanie and Nick were students at Columbine High School and had been present on the day of the massacre.

2:21.6

Neither of them had been physically injured in the shooting, but as one can easily imagine,

2:25.7

it had been incredibly traumatic for them, just as it had for all of the survivors.

2:30.4

But fortunately, Nick and Stephanie had had good friends to lean on for support like each other.
