Hello, my dear friends, as always, it is an honor to be with you.

My name is Jared Halverson for those who don't already know, and for those who do,

thank you for all the time that you spent with me so far.

We have come to the end of a year and we are ready to pounce on a new curriculum,

a new year ahead of us and I wanted to give you an update on Unshaken and give you some

exciting announcements for the future of this of this podcast. Those of you who have been with me

from the very beginning, first of all, talk about a steep learning curve that you have endured

alongside me. If you want something that will that will shock you, go back to the very first episode that I filmed.

On my laptop webcam with the built-in microphone, the sound is horrible, the video is bad, and the host is worse.

And it was a short video where I just was throwing myself out there. We had just had an

earthquake in Salt Lake City. The angel Maronae at the top of the Salt Lake Temple had dropped his

trumpet. And as we were all shaking, I felt like it was time to start building some unshaken faith

in all of us moving forward. I had no delusions of grandeur, no visions of what this program could or

would become, but it was interesting. COVID had had spread across the world and shuttered the

Institute where I was teaching at the University of Utah. And so as you remember those days,

we didn't have normal work schedules.

The freeways were completely clear.

And I remember thinking, what am I going to do for my students?

I have a few hundred institute students at the U, and I want to keep teaching them.

At the time I was teaching two classes.

One was a Come Follow Me class on the Book of Mormon,

and the other was a class of my own invention
