I'm Lockelaani, and today Alex is in Matthew 27, verses 51 through 54.

If you've ever needed proof that God shows up in the darkest moments, this is it.

The moment Jesus died, everything changed.

The curtain in the temple torn into. The earth shook, rocks split open. And a Roman soldier who just

watched them crucified Jesus looked up and said, truly this was the son of God. Four verses in the whole world shifts.

So grab your Bibles and let's get into it.

Amen. This is beautiful in a heavy passage.

And it's really talking about all the things that once separated us from God

and now those things being taken away. And it starts off with sin. Sin no longer separates us from God, and now those things being taken away. And it starts off with sin.

Sin no longer separates us from God because of what Christ did. Because of Christ's death,

right after he dies, the moment he gives up his spirit, he yields up his spirit to the Father,

trusting that the Father will resurrect him.

In verse 51, it says, and behold, and the word behold means look,

and look.

Matthew is stopping his Jewish Christian audience,

like people who grew up Jewish and now have left that

and converted to Christianity.

He is stopping them right after Jesus' death to say,

and look what happened after his death. The curtain of the temple was torn into from top to bottom.

From top to bottom, the temple was 80, I mean, the temple curtain was 80 feet tall.
