Edwin Putz is the new man in charge of the DUP, or he will be very soon.

He saw off his rival for the party leadership, Sir Geoffrey Donaldson, by the narrowest of margins,

and now he's the one calling the shots.

He's promised to scrap the controversial Northern Ireland Protocol

and maintain the party's place at the top of the polls,

despite the significant challenges it's faced in recent

contests. But can he deliver what will a putzled DUP look like and how will we measure

if he's been successful or not? Gareth, first of all, what's just happened?

I think what's just happened is that what we were always told was the happiest family in politics,

has turned out to not be quite so happy after all.

Not a big surprise to me, but what is a surprise?

This time it's public and family reunions are not going to be as easy in future.

I think this was a revolution in the DUP. This was not just about a change of leader. It was about a

change at the core of the party. It was about overthrowing what had really in some ways become the
