So we're going to start this episode a little differently than we ever have before.

I'm not even going to give you a little spiel. Here's what I want to do, Allison.

My guest today is Alison Dayton, and we are going to talk about one of her favorite group of

unnamed women in the Book of Mormon. But before we can, Allison, I have a painting that I want

to show you, and here's what I want. Give me your reaction when

you see it. So we're going to start out this whole episode with just your reaction of the

painting, and then we'll talk about it a little bit later. Ready, set, go. You know how much I love art.

Oh, look at that.

So the painting, for those of you who can't see it, is a mother.

She's kind of awash with darkness, and it looks like waves.

There's even kind of a scary, maybe face her and she's even dark kind of in the shadows

and then she's holding this child and this child is like all light and like warmth and

glowing and through the child you can see this heart beating and then his future

which is to be a warrior a stripling warrior and all of this like that is i've never seen the painting

but it is like everything that she has is is kind of transferred into this child and all the darkness that surrounds her.

She's protecting him.

She's protecting this one little boy who has this amazing future.

But it's the heart, wow, that like you can see through this child that her heart

is in him. So beautiful. Oh, I loved everything you said about this painting. I thought of you

as soon as I saw it. I'm like, I love this. I do. Isn't it cool? It's by Piper Dixon and it was

paint this year of 2024. It's so beautiful. And isn't that just how we feel as moms? Like,

you hold these little parents before they can ral, you know, scamper away and you just want to give
